If you answered "yes" to each of these questions then Swan Lake Resort is interested in talking to you about becoming our Social Media-Marketing Assistant.

Since 1971, Swan Lake Resort has been serving golfers and resort guests. Located in Plymouth, Indiana, Swan Lake Resort is artfully nestled on 600 acres of northern Indiana countryside. Amenities include 36-holes of premium golf, charming 92 room hotel, log cabins, rustic cottages, beautiful villas, outstanding restaurants, pool, spa and a state-of-the-art 30,000 sq. ft. conference center. And, The Golf Academy at Swan Lake Resort is the premier golf instructional facility in the Midwest. 

The position being offered is ideal for a process oriented person, with talents to develop and expand the resort's social media program, provide reports, resolve problems, work with outside sales reps and assist with creative marketing programs, all in the effort to expand resort sales.  

Duties:
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Manager to create a comprehensive social media strategy to increase visibility, sales, guest renewals and referrals.
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools and applications and appropriately apply.
  • Strategize with management and others across the company on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the services the resort offers.
  • Maintain resort website.
  • Measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing effort.
  • Works with sales team to assist with daily action requirements.
  • Input contracts and coordinates with Sales and Marketing Administrator and resort staff on events and packages sold.
  • Assist with development of sales and tracking reports.
  • Maintain customer database.
  • Fulfill requests for information.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Social media tools and techniques.
  • Marketing (traditional, new media, guerilla and "word of mouth").
  • Strategy.
  • Technology.
  • Sales.
  • Project management.
  

Position is full-time. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years work history.  Candidates must work well with people and have outstanding organizational skills. Candidates will have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 

 

Work schedule for this position will be Tuesday - Saturday. Hours may vary depending on special events at resort.

This position requires no overnight travel.
